PVC extrusion can applicated to PVC hose, PVC cable wire, PVC wire mesh, fencing, PVC seals, PVC profiles production. Their underlying logic is the same.
Definition: Extrusion is a process where material is pushed through the tool with specialized shape that called die and producing continuous objects of cross sectional profile
How it works:
1- The raw material (polymer) in the form of granulates(like PVC granules compound), is gravity fed into the hopper and through the feed throat, drops on a rotating screw.
2- Screw rotates by an electric motor and rotation of the screw forces the plastic forward through heated barrel
3- When the plastic melt reaches the end of the screw the plastic melt is well mixed and pushed through a screen pack, supported by a breaker plate, filtering contaminants and removing the materials rotational memory.
4- Finally the filtered melt is then pushed through the die. The die gives the final product the desired profile and shape.
5- After exiting the extruder the extrudate is pulled and cooled. The cooling method is dependent on the profile and shape of extrudate.
